Our latest rope access project was a true testament that The Comprehensive Group will undertake repair and refurbishment works across all of the United Kingdom.
The Birmingham based high level and difficult access specialists were contacted by a building management firm who had a residential accommodation apartment block located on the Isle of Wight which required an external building clean and additional restoration works.
The high level and difficult access nature of the multi-story accommodation block meant abseil / rope access was the optimum access solution. The building management firm investigated the option for scaffolding to reach the apartment block facade but the time consuming, disruptive and highly expensive scaffolding option was not an option. Rope access was the ideal access solution!
When arriving on site, The Comprehensive Group was required to undertake jet washing to the entire building facade, from roof level, through to ground level. As the entire facade required cleaning with a jet washer, abseil access meant the speed of project completion was optimum. After initial facade building clean, The Comprehensive Group’s IRATA trained abseil technicians then commenced with brick and concrete restoration works to damaged areas of concern on the building. Alongside the restoration works, painting was also undertaken to give the accommodation block a new lease of life, refreshed for the years ahead.
