Commercial Sign Removals – North West England

Sign removals to multiple Santander banking branches across the North West, England, using a range of difficult access methods and access machinery.

The Comprehensive Group were instructed by one of their nationwide facility management firms who were responsible for multiple Santander banking branches that were being closed due to a company wide restructuring. The closing of a number of Santander banking branches come as a result of the consumer moving towards a preference of online banking and as a wider restructuring of the banking operations, as explained further here.

The multiple sign removals and de-branding of branches were required over 17 branches, across several days, that were being closed across the North West of England.

Sites locations included;

  • Wibsey
  • Walkden
  • Beam Hall
  • Brighouse
  • Castleford
  • Cheadle
  • Charlton-cum-Hardy
  • Darwen
  • Dewsbury
  • Hosforth
  • Leeds
  • Lytham
  • Morecambe
  • Nelson
  • Swinton
  • Poultice-le-Flyde

The high level and difficult access sign removals also included de-branding of the branches. Our difficult access technicians utilised a range of access methods to reach the branch branding. This included using mobile scaffold towers and various truck mounted lorries. The works were carried out over consecutive days, across a two month period, with multiple site de-branding undertaken on the same day. This offered the facility management company a cost savings option and reduced timeframe. Due to the various sites location, out of hours and weekend works were needed to avoid disruption during peak times. This was all organised by our in-house projects team.

Our company photographer attended the various sites to capture the sign removals in progress which are depicted below in the photo gallery.
