The Comprehensive Group revisit site to undertake the glazed facade replacements to office block in Leeds.
As part of a wider site refurbishment project, phase two of the project was to complete several glazed unit replacements as a result of either blown, cracked or poorly installed units.
As previously reported on, phase one was the high level sign installation project where we were required to carry out High level sign installation to global information and insight company, Trans Union HQ in Leeds.
The multiple high level sign installs were by no means a simple sign install. Due to the high level and glazed facade meant a unique sign framework design was needed to ensure the signs would withstand the inclement British weather but also not damage the glass around the signs.
Phase two witnessed The Comprehensive Group being instructed by their client to undertaken several high level, difficult access glazed unit repairs. Our rope access team utilised two IRATA trained technicians on the external facade, coupled with two internal glaziers and roof and ground based operators to conduct the numerous glazed facade replacements.
As with all of our glazing works, we always prefer for rope access paired with our specialist glazing winch to manoeuvre the glazed units during the operation. This is highly cost reductive for the client and results in a faster operation time. Subsequently less disruptions and business downtime for the office occupants.
During the site operation, The Comprehensive Group captured the various glazed facade replacements in the below video. Watch the video as it depicts how a project is managed and undertaken by the Comprehensive Group.
