The Comprehensive Group were called to Cornwall Street in Birmingham to undertake a difficult access, high level glass replacement. On initial site survey, The Comprehensive Group’s surveyor was able to take critical measurements to ensure the correct sized and specification unit would be procured. After initial survey, our procurement team then sourced and matched the new unit to the existing units inset within the curtain walling.
Once the new unit was sourced, our rope access team revised site to undertake the removal and installation of the new double glazed unit.
Our IRATA trained technicians used a winch system to haul the defective window units from the aperture and manoeuvre the replacement glazed unit into position. The below images depict the operation throughout the various stages to give you a true understanding of the scope and size of the project!
After successful installation of the new glazed unit, a water test was carried out to ensure the new units were weather proof. A thorough clean down of the works area lead to a client inspection to sign the works off.
