Specialist Difficult Access Commissioning of Radiant Gas Heaters – Oxfordshire

Specialist difficult access company The Comprehensive Group were contacted by Riverside Mechanical to carry out the commissioning of radiant gas heaters to Carterton Leisure Centre. The locations of the heaters within the large gym/warehouse meant the easiest and most cost effective solution was using a rope access team to reach the heaters. Scaffolding and the use of a MEWP wasn’t feasible due to permanently installed soft play area covering the entire floor space within the Carterton Leisure Centre warehouse.
After our initial meeting with the client, we had worked out the most effective and safest way to access the heaters to carry out the commissioning. Upon successfully reaching the radiant gas heaters, our rope access team discovered the heaters were not originally installed properly. A slight change in work scope saw our rope access team adjust the heaters so they were in correct alignment before assisting with the commissioning.
Working out of hours meant the Leisure Centre could carry on with the busy booking schedule and no potential revenue was lost.
The rope access method was the best solution from The Comprehensive Group, specialist difficult access company to complete the works. It’s a known fact that rope access is superior for difficult access works. The time, planning and costs associated with scaffold, in comparison to rope access is miles apart.
As a rope access company, abseiling has become more widely recognised as a safe, effective and cost saving high level access solution. Our IRATA trained abseil technicians are educated to be at the forefront of site health and safety. No works will be sanctioned without the use of a level 3 trained IRATA supervisor.
The Comprehensive Groups unique market position permits us to supply rope access teams who are not only abseilers but are high level, qualified, working technicians so we make the inaccessible, accessible. Contact Us today to discuss your next project.
