University Building Clean – Coventry

University building clean via a range of high level access methods by The Comprehensive Group.

The Comprehensive Group were contacted by the Coventry University’s building management firm to initially carry out some snagging works to some of the university halls of residence. However, it became apparent during the snagging works, the build facades required a full, top to bottom, clean as this hadn’t happened since the building was renovated and handed to over to the university many years ago!

External building cleans generally use a range of access methods, not relying on just one method. For this project, our dedicated projects team devised a thorough works plan, utilising predominantly rope access methods but also MEWPs. Rope Access methods were pivotal in ensuring the university building clean was carried out in an efficient manner, causing minimum disruption to the building inhabitants. MEWPs were used alongside rope access methods as not all parts of the building were safely accessible by rope access. Being able to offer a range of access methods, in-house, illustrates The Comprehensive Group’s unique ability to access the accessible.

During the university building clean, a range of cleaning methods were used from the traditional bucket and water to more advanced techniques and equipment to remove certain issues. The range of access methods and cleaning techniques are all depicted in our site images below.
